Much of the information presented to you will be applicable to the animals you have as pets as well, if not more so. People and pets which live in the same environment can experience similar health problems. Ear problems and skin rashes are common problems for pets exposed to toxic mold. Throughout history animals with their sensitivities to various elements have been used as alarms to protect humans. With the way some dogs are always smelling everything they can vigorously breathe in microbes from their environments.

For almost every health problem humans experience there is a correlating health problem for the animals they have as pets. You, your children and your pets deserve this information. My passion is to reduce this unnecessary pain and suffering for millions of people, and their pets.

During my own toxic mold exposure I made a lot of observations, as I sought to understand how toxic mold was capable of doing all the things it does to the human body. One thing I would do was to cough up some of the musous in my throat, onto a petrie dish covered with potato dextrose agar. I would seal it up and watch them grow into very scary looking mold colonies, with multiple types of mold. I found it curious that the specimens being coughed up smelled like wet dog hair. I did not have any dogs or other pets at the time. But, we had a number of pets when I was growing up.

It started me thinking about how dogs run around collecting mold spores from their environment onto their hair and skin. Then rain, splashing in a mud puddle, and sweating from running and playing provide the moisture needed for mold spores to grow on the dog's hair and skin. If the dog has matted hair, does not get bathed frequently or, lives in a higher mold environment, the effects of mold will play a significant role in the health of the dog. Of course this would apply to other animals as well.

I now have a dog living with me, who needs to be bathed every week or two, in order to prevent an an allergic reaction in me. I start getting a little sinus reaction and my hands start to dry out from petting him. I use Selsum Blue Natural Formula because dandruff is a fungal condition, and anti-dandruff shampoos usually contain antifungal ingredients. Each time I give him a bath I also wash his blanket, vacuum his couch and the house. Then I am good for a week or two of an allergy free environment. And Chopper gets a lot more petting.
