Daniel's Journals 8-13-06 - 2006 Nesika-Illahee Pow Wow, Spiritual Energy, Mind-Body Connection

I awoke this morning with these words already in my head. I was inspired by two new friends I met at the Nesika-Illahee Pow Wow in Siletz, Oregon. We exchanged information and knowledge in true Celestine Prophecy style. We are drawn to people with whom there is information and knowledge that needs to be exchanged. These mutual exchanges of knowledge help us along our paths in life, projecting us further into our destinies, when we recognize and act upon them.

I was humbled as I watched the revitalization of the traditional Native American customs. These customs evolved over thousands of years, from their spiritual connectiveness to, and the respect for, Mother Earth. For it is from Mother Earth that so many of the essential elements necessary for human existence are so freely given. The spiritual strength of the Native American customs comes from the many millions of their ancestors, whose spiritual energy is still preserved today within the growing trees and plants, the lakes and rivers, the birds and the animals of Mother Earth. You can feel the vibrations of energy when you look at a majestic tree, especially ones who have been here longer than the United States has been a nation. Their majesty fills your body and soul with vibrating energy that feels awesome as the absorption of this energy sets in motion physiological reactions throughout your body. The energy(vibrations) you absorb from a beautiful mountain, a sparkling lake or stream, or the calming effect of ocean waves rolling in, have a very powerful physiological effect on your body, . For the spiritual and the physical are very much connected in a two way information network. It becomes more and more apparent that our ancestors, due to their closer connection to, and respect for, Mother Earth, understood this universal connection between the spiritual and the physical world's than modern society does.

The power of prayer, chanting, singing, and meditation to intensify and focus emotions and feelings in order to cause physical changes has long been recognized by the more enlightened individuals around the world. These modalities for connecting to the powerful energy forces of God and Mother Earth have long been recognized as being real and powerful. But, until recent years the physiological effects this has on your physical body had never been adequately explained. How does that faith in what you believe translate into physiological reactions within your physical human body? What is the process which occurs as God or Mother Earth transfers vibrating energy into and throughout our human body, which is made up of billions of vibrating molecules? Does this negate the power of God and Mother Earth? Not at all. Quite the opposite. They give scientific substance to prove the power of God, Mother Earth, prayer, chanting, singing, meditation and all other modalities of connecting to the universal energy forces.

A couple of years ago I was inspired by the movie 'What the Bleep' do we know'. It take you on an incredible journey into the world of quantum physics, the realms of worlds you never thought about before, and gave new credence to enlightenments you suspected were true. As they artfully interwove acting, animation and quantum physics, they intervieed some of the most enlightened scientists of our time. As I listened to Dr. Candace Pert my reaction was; she knows what I know, and a lot more. And she can explain it scientifically. As a result of my personal experiences and research I have come to realize that feelings and emotions are two-way communications between the subconscious data collection/communication centers within our bodies and the conscious actuating mechanisms of our mind and body.

I am halfway through Dr. Candace Pert's book called 'Molecules of Emotion'. She shows that emotions are communications which are intertwined into the chemical communication system inside our bodies. The chemical communication system operates parallel to our electrical communication system, using ligands and receptors. It has been a part of the human body much longer than the electrical communication system, in terms of evolution. There is a very real correlation between our emotional, spiritual and physical bodies.

Dr. Masaru Emoto developed a technique to photograph the crystal structures of water(H2O). Just as snowflakes have individual snow crystals, Dr. Emotto theorized that each water crystal should therefore have individual crystal structures. With a high precision microscope he developed a technique to photograph the crystal structures of water samples, as they grew during the thawing process, after freezing the drops of water. As Dr. Emoto examined and photographed samples of water, from different environmentally influenced sources around the world, the drastic differences in their crystal structures was shocking. Water from natural water sources grew beautiful water crystals. Treated tap water was very ugly. Water samples from Mount Kilimanjaro, where the water travels through and is influenced by the energy of the mountain, produced spectacularly beautiful water crystals. On the other hand, water samples from water sources which had been polluted, and/or infused with other negative disrespectful environmental influences, produced very ugly visual images, lacking any resemblance to crystal structure. The differences were so dramatic that Dr. Emoto set out to identify the influences on the crystal structure of water(H2O). Besides the obvious influences of pollution, etc., the primary influence on water is energy. Energy is vibration. He found that energy changes the crystal structures of water.

The energy of an atomic blast, a volcanic eruption, or a tsunami all emit energy that can be felt, and can change the crystal structure of water. In December of 2004 after the earthquake under the Indian Ocean, and before the tsunami hit the coasts of the Indian Ocean nations, many of the birds and animals, especially ones with higher levels of magnetite, were able to feel the vibration of energy, and head for high ground long before the tsunami arrived. Energy is vibration. When you look at and absorb the vibration of energy from a beautiful mountain, sunrise, or sunset, that energy effects you emotionally, spiritually and also physically.

Dr. Emoto found that the vibrating energy from prayer, chanting, meditation, thoughts and even words written on the side of the water container were absorbed into the water, changing its crystal structure. When you consider the fact that our bodies are approximately 70% water you start to understand how the words from others to us, the words from us to others, and the thoughts from us to ourselves significantly effect our spiritual, mental, and also are physical bodies, all together as one. Upon understanding this my first thoughts were of how my words, both good and bad, had a much bigger influence on my children than I ever really realized before. For the good ones, I am very grateful. For the bad ones, I am very sorry. I really wish I could take them all back. I always wished children came with manuals on the best way to raise them. But, most of us struggle along with what was programmed into us as we grew up. Hopefully these words will help other parents and future parents to be better parents as they raise our futures.

The power of prayer and other forms of connecting to God, Mother Earth, and other universal energy forces is very real. The other night my attention was pulled away from my computer as the news highlighted the story of seven-year-old Victoria Roberts. She had aplastic anemia requiring a bone marrow transplant. The day before the scheduled bone marrow transplant the tests came back saying she no longer needed the bone marrow transplant. The girl and her parents acknowledged the role which the power of prayer played in this dramatic turnaround. I'm sure the intensity of the combined thoughts and prayers they and their many supporters had, as the lifesaving operation approached, created an energy force strong enough to enter, influence, and join with the girl's own believe in the power of prayer, curing her. Together the energy force was stronger and physiologically changed the dynamics. Remember, most of us use only 10-15% of our brain. There are incredible abilities of 'mind over matter' available to us in that 'Other 88%'.

On June 28, 1978 I was involved in a near fatal motorcycle accident. A big chunk of my tissues was torn from just below my right knee, along with that section of the main artery. A head concussion from not wearing a helmet. My right knee was crushed into too many pieces to count, leaving traction as the best solution for it. Multiple broken bones of fingers, arms, and legs. And multiple x-rays revealed the neck was broken. As they stabilized me at the St. Helens, Oregon hospital(no longer there), the minister notified my parents of my serious condition. My parents notified the prayer tree at their church, Bethlehem Baptist in Lake Oswego, Oregon. My relatives also notified their prayer trees. As my parents arrived from their 35 mile trip to St. Helens, they were loading me into the ambulance and sandbagging my head for the 35 mile trip to Kaiser Permanente Hospital in Portland, Oregon. There they worked for eight and a half hours performing an arterial bypass, to save my right leg.

There is still a great deal of emotional energy attached to those moments just prior to going into surgery, as I said goodbye to the members of my family, perhaps for the last time. As they prepared me for surgery the doctors were perplexed when the presurgery x-rays revealed that the neck was no longer broken. My father once told me that the doctors had a nickname for me. I was the early morning miracle or the early morning wonder, or something like that. I give credit where credit is due. And the credit belongs with God and the power of prayer. This is why I understand this sort of phenomenon. The power of prayer, chanting, singing, meditating, etc. is real. Calling upon the universal energy forces of God and Mother Earth to change physical chemistry does work and can be very effective.

As a direct result of my near death experience in 1978, and my serious illness from toxic mold exposure a few years ago, I've been given enhanced empathic and intuitive abilities. These have been instrumental to understanding and writing all that I write about.

In the summer of 2004 I visited the Siletz Tribal Center at Government Hill in Siletz, Oregon. I was hoping to contact someone with knowledge of how I could contact my old friend Lisa Brown. In the course of my research I was looking into the various ways the human body gets rid of toxins and microbes such as mold fungi. Since, during the period when my body was at high accumulated levels of mold fungi my sweat had smelled like yeast, a form of mold fungi, I recognized that sweating them from the body was one mechanism the human body uses to cleanse itself. Swedish saunas and traditional Native American sweat lodges immediately came to mind. Lisa had introduced me to Walt years earlier, and how he held regular sweat lodge sessions. Remembering this It was important for me to reconnect with Lisa.

Since the last few years have been a rapid succession of coincidences, too numerous to consider coincidences, I was not surprised to find that the first person I talked to, a Native American veteran, had a relative living right next to Lisa. Elated with how well the principles of the 'Celestine Prophecy' work, in connecting you to those with whom knowledge needs to be exchanged, I decided to walk over to the Native American Veterans Memorial. I had noticed the four big black stones as I drove in the driveway. I decided to pay my respect to those Native American veterans who had given their lives for our country, that we may have the freedoms that we have today. Or, perhaps the more accurate way to put it would be; the freedoms we had before 911.

I have felt strong energy forces before as they slapped me in the chest. But, I have never before, or since, felt the energy I felt that day, as I approached those four big black stones with the names of the Native American men, women, fathers, mothers, brothers, sisters, and children who gave their lives for this country. As soon as I crossed the driveway I could feel an energy force vibrating inside me that got stronger and stronger as I approached the stones. Behind those Memorial Stones was the graveyard with many Native American ancestors. The energy force was so strong and defined that I could draw a line where it started. As I approached the stones it got stronger. If I backed up it's strength lessened. I went forward and back several times to validate my observation. Then I proceeded to approach the Memorial Stones, the energy force getting stronger and stronger. It felt like the pain and suffering of many many people SLAMMING into my chest. By the time I reached the stones I was on one knee with tears streaming down my face. I could feel the pain and suffering of the Native American people.

At first, I did not understand why I was experiencing this energy that contained so much pain and suffering. An energy that is so strong I still feel it whenever I talk about it. An energy so strong that I had to wipe the tears from my eyes as I wrote these words. Why would a white boy of Irish, English, Welch, Scotch heritage feel this strong energy containing such intense pain and suffering? Had my ancestors played a role in bringing that pain and suffering to the Native American people? Had my great-grandfather Norris, whom I am so much like and shares so many genes with, participated in decimating the buffalo herds in addition to working and Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show? Or, did Native American ancestors want me to share my research on how mold fungi age and degenerate the human body, contributing significantly to the degenerative diseases, which the Native American people suffer so disproportionately from?

As a young boy, after passing an ordeal, I was inducted into 'The Order of the Arrow', an honorary group within The Boy Scouts of America. I pledged to help preserve the customs and traditions of the Native American Indians. We are all accountable to our pledges.

My father, as a member of the Army Signal Corps, was stationed in Nome, Alaska before and during World War II. My mother was there too, until they shipped her out after Pearl Harbor. They both loved, and held fond memories, of their friendships with the Native Eskimos. Dad had his own dog sled team. The Eskimos shared their skills of beading, making parkas, and carving ivory with my mother. When I was in grade school and high school, every few years by mother would bring her slides, snowshoes, parkas, beadwork, and ivory carvings to show my classmates, enriching their understanding of the world around us. Until I was talking to an old childhood friend a few weeks ago I did not realize how impressive those visits of sharing by my mother meant to my classmates.

I assume that the Native American ancestors reached out to me for all of the above reasons. The Native American populations are disproportionately affected by the various degenerative diseases. My personal experience with toxic mold fungi, and my extensive research, tells me that mold fungi play a significant role in the degenerative diseases, especially in the wet climates of the Pacific Northwest. If my information is correct, the meaning of the words Willamette Valley is 'Valley of death' or 'Valley of illness'. The wet climate provides ideal conditions for the growth of mold fungi, and the health problems which they are the underlying causes for. I believe the knowledge I have acquired through personal experience and recovery, and my extensive research, will help reduce the pain and suffering of the Native American people.

At the Pow Wow, as I watched the inspirational dancing, as activations of their spiritual beliefs and traditions, many thoughts went through my head. The beautiful outfits worn by the dancers displayed many hours of heartfelt labor. Each feather, bead and bell represented an aspect of their traditions and rich culture, paralleled with the lessons of life itself. Each aspect a lesson of life, with the wisdom of time being passed on to the young. When I realized that the sweat lodge tradition had played such a significant role in preventing even more suffering of their people, as it cleansed their bodies of many of the toxic elements that contribute to degenerative diseases, I saw that many of the traditions of various native cultures were rooted in their culture for good reason. That the trial and error and accidental discoveries of actions that ward off disease did not start in the 19th or 20th century, as we ignorantly and blindly acquiesce ourselves into believing. That those customs and traditions evolved over many centuries, enabling their very survival. I realized the importance of Native Americans, and all other native cultures, returning to their traditions, which enabled their survival as a people and defined their uniqueness as a culture. For the sake of their health it is important to return to the tradition of the sweat lodges, to cleanse from their bodies the many impurities, such as mold fungi, that are introduced to the chemistry of our bodies from our environments. So, to see both young and old revitalizing the Native American traditions and culture warmed my heart.

A defining moment came late into the night, at the end of the long day of many exhausting dances of boys, girls, men, women, veterans, elders, and community members. Around the inner circle of the arena were teams of drummers and singers who exhausted their hands, arms, and voices as they alternatingly drummed, sang and chanted the musical rhythm for the dancers. To close the day one of the teams of drummers and singers was honored by providing the rhythmic singing and drumming for the closing ceremony. A long line of dancers, with their awesome and colorful dancing outfits, lined up to follow the bearers of the staffs and flags of the tribes, Oregon, and the United States, as they danced their way around, and out of the arena. Rarely have I seen the flag of the United States paraded with such pageantry, respect and honor. A tribute to the Native American veterans who have served, and who have given their lives.
